welcome!
My name is Kim- I am “Mom” to two daughters and “Emmy” to three little grands. I live on 5 acres of peacefulness, an hour outside of Atlanta. For many years I worked in the corporate world. I thought that was what I HAD to do! Between the company layoffs and international buyouts I was presented with the same ‘solution to life’ each time…..“you need to create, take pictures, paint, and design.” Instead, there was a job offer and I jumped back in to the corporate world. Eventually I listened to my heart, and now I live my life with creative intention. I would love for you to join me on this journey!
My passion has always been to live a more balanced life through clean eating, natural healing, creating art and surrounding my habitat with all things peaceful. You could say that I’m a hippie living in the moment!
Why “The Upcycle Design Project?”
“Upcycle; upcycled; upcycling: to recycle (something) in such a way that the resulting product or condition is of a higher value than the original state.” I believe we can all use a little upcycling in our home, heart and soul. My goal is to help you make the transition to living naturally by sharing what I have researched and lived.
To be clear, I am not a doctor! However, I am optimistic that we can heal our bodies naturally, enjoy fresh food, and envelop ourselves in a peaceful environment that makes us feel good. Isn’t that what we all want?
I will share daily health habits and supplements that have helped me with thinning & unhealthy hair, joint pain, energy loss, brain fog, and an overall sense of well-being. I have many upcycle projects and ideas for your home (which I like to call “our habitat”) and recipes that you will love using organic, clean food to balance your body!
Random things about my journey…
- I do not take life too seriously… seriously, I don’t!
- I meditate daily.
- I am a procrastinator. I hope you NEVER witness this with my blog!
- I have my certification as a Reiki Healer, and as a Neuromuscular & Sports Body Therapist.
- No beef or pork for me! I have practiced this way of eating for many, many years!
- My kitchen is paperless, & I limit plastic in my house. All of my containers are either glass or stainless steel.
- I kayak, camp and hike whenever I can…however, I despise snakes so it can be really rough sharing my space with those little monsters!
- I love from my soul, and I listen with my heart.
- I try not to start my sentences with “I” just as I did in this list!
Thank you for joining me! I hope you hang around for a while, and visit often! Most of all, I hope you are inspired!
Much peace & happiness,
